If you're thinking of a stupidly intellectual rant, then A) I didn't know you watched the same you tubers as me, B) You probably read enough of these so should probably hit the back arrow, and BA) This makes a good Emoji when you look at it sideways.
If you're thinking of FIRST! I suggest you wait an hour before going back into the comment section and check out this amazing rant that you should definitely check out.
And that brings us to our last, but certainly least, begging for subscribers and likes and views. Also known as:
There are so many ways people do this. One of which is shown in this not screenshot: (I was looking for the comment, but couldn't find it) It said: Whats your phone % at mines at 67% The Grumps inspired me to make pranking videos, my girlfriend just shaved my head!
SERIOUSLY! I COULD WRITE THIS!
STEP ONE? ASK A RANDOM QUESTION! Hey guys, I'm wondering how many floor tiles you've ripped up!
STEP TWO? ACT LIKE THERES A REASON TO BE ON SAID CHANNEL AND LINK TO YOUR OWN CHANNEL! I really love watching [Channel Name Here] almost as much as I love watching my own videos!
and up.....
Lets put it together: Hey guys, I'm wondering how many floor tiles you've ripped up! I really love watching Donald Trump almost as much as I love watching my own videos! Now the problem with that example is with that much narcissism I think those channels are one and the same, but you get the point. So why do people do this? Why? They think they can get popular. They can't. You're more likely to get views from a well placed funny comment than spamming the same thing on every channel. That example, by the way had been at 67% for around a week. He must have a really bad charger, or be spamming the same message. I think its the latter. The way people get likes on comments is a bit more careful. Unfortunately you can't bite into this delicious part of the rant until you get 3 more bits. There are, after all 4 bits in a byte.
and up
So lets think about things that seem innocent: "Lets keep this comment at an even number of likes!" Now because internet isn't immediate, people will like and not know they made it odd, making it go up and up and up and up
And back down again. Clever, but people know this tactic. Another well used one is copy and pasting cool drawings and people like it because it's cool. Every Single Time. The cool thing is that so many people fall for this BS.
And the most recent way...
"Like this comment so the youtuber can read it!" This is usually done with a "Helpful" Tip that you could google, and sometimes these people mean to be helpful. but people take the bait to make it seem like the're helping. Chances are, if it's a big youtuber they won' t read you're comment anyway, so you're wasting time and if the're a small youtuber, they read most comments. So Don't beg for Subs. Remember that Jake dude from Subway?
Ha! I totally agree with all of your points, and find most of these traits annoying as well. I like that your post is funny, but you also express good, valid points. Nice slice!
ReplyDeletePretty well-constructed rant! I liked this post a lot and it was very fun to read.

Nice rant, Zack. The humor is evident and slightly random, but it makes sense with the flow. Good job.
